The Sound of Excellence: C. Bechstein Partners With the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition
When the world’s most gifted pianists gather to compete on the international stage, only the finest instruments will do—and that’s why C. Bechstein will be front and center at the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. Revered for its rich, expressive tone and German precision, the C. Bechstein grand piano isn’t just an instrument—it’s a collaborator in greatness.
From C. Bechstein’s official press release:
In October 2025, the world of music will once again turn its gaze to Warsaw for the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, one of the world’s most prestigious and tradition-rich piano competitions, bringing young musical talents from around the globe to the grand stage.
Since its establishment in 1927, the competition has been a beacon of musical excellence, shaping the careers of renowned pianists such as Maurizio Pollini, Martha Argerich, and Krystian Zimerman. 85 finalists, carefully selected from 21 countries, will compete for a place among the world’s elite.
C. Bechstein has once again decided to be part of this distinguished event, presenting its D-282 concert grand to the expert commission. The instrument was accepted with great enthusiasm – a clear sign of recognition by the international panel. Consequently, C. Bechstein is now the only German piano company among the five brands selected worldwide from which participants can freely choose.
In a meticulous selection process at the competition venue, the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the grand piano was evaluated for its touch and tone by a commission of renowned piano professors and representatives of the National Fryderyk Chopin Institute. Among them was Prof. Krzysztof Jabłoński, a member of this year’s distinguished competition jury. The verdict was clear: the concert grand impressed with its tonal richness, expressive power and striking presence in the concert hall.
For C. Bechstein, participating is not only a great honor but also a commitment to artistic responsibility. The Chopin Competition is a place where young pianists and the finest piano makers in the world come together – in a contest that goes far beyond technical skill: it is about musical depth, personality, and the art of bringing Chopin’s works to life.
