Description
Carefully selected materials
As with all Bechstein instruments, the careful selection of the materials is an essential factor in the success of the A 208 parlor grand piano. For example, mountain spruce, an excellent tonewood, is used for the soundboard and its ribs, while the back posts are made from high-quality pine. The other components of the case are made of crossband veneer using massive wood. The iron plate cast in sand achieves excellent resistance to tension and optimizes the keynote. The integrated capodaster strips and duplex scales play a major role in the rich and colorful sound of the treble strings, while agraffes with a special design limit the speaking length of the middle and bass strings. Both the strings and the tuning pins are made of the finest materials.
